I’m Etienne de Bruin — a developer and founder who has spent years building tools and communities for the people who build software. I founded everydev, an AI agency, and before that 7CTOs, a global community for engineering leaders.
I built Lode because I kept collecting brilliant conversations and papers I never truly absorbed. Saving isn’t learning, and a summary you forget by lunch isn’t either. Lode is the workbench I wanted: it does the patient work of pulling out the quotes that matter, writing the plain-English explanation, and surfacing the questions, concepts, and references behind each idea — so you can engage with the source instead of skipping it.

Lode is built by everydev, my AI agency. The premise is simple — one world, every developer: AI should let anyone turn an idea into something real. We build production-grade software with AI, design bespoke AI solutions for teams, and train developers to do the same.
